Is SAEH Yay for Yoga and Mindfulness program a religion-based program?
No. We teach modern day yoga teaching one how to connect with their body using movement, breathwork and affirmations creating a positive mindset within their own belief system.

Do you pray during SAEH Yay for Yoga and Mindfulness?
No. We may meditate in teaching how to go within and quietly speak positively to yourself as well as learning how to quiet the mind of “outside noise” to avoid overthinking, distractions and to just learn how to have a quiet space within oneself.

What is the difference between praying and meditating?
Praying is talking. Meditating is listening. One can pray to their belief system. However, one can’t be the only one speaking. One must learn to “be quiet” in order to be able to listen. At SAEH, we teach meditation to learn how to quiet the mind from stresses, outside noise, disappointments and simply just to rest the mind.

Is Yoga and Mindfulness suitable for boys?
Yes! Yoga can benefit boys in many ways, physical and mental health as well as mindfulness. Yoga can help boys improve their flexibility, endurance and strength. Is also helps with balance and small and large muscle movements. Yoga helps to reduce stress and anxiety. It helps with depression and irregular sleeping. Yoga also helps boys with self-awareness, self-control, patience and concentration. Yoga and mindfulness benefit all genders.

Just to name a few benefits: yoga and mindfulness can improve physical health (balance, strength, endurance), mental well-being easing anxiety, stress and tension, brain development, and academic performance. Yoga and mindfulness can help us learn how to pause, breathe, observe, and process what arises. They offer tools that can give us the courage, patience, and compassion to be in tune with ourselves, instead of becoming overwhelmed or find a way to ignore the issue. Also, we learn to hold what comes up with kindness. Kindness for the situation, ourselves and others.

Practicing yoga and mindfulness with children supports them in identifying feelings and emotions while learning to manage their reactions and behaviors in healthy ways that work best for them.
